Concubinage
Concubinage, denotes sometimes a criminal or prohibited commerce between the
sexes; in which sense it comprehends adultery, incest, and simple fornication;
but, in a more limited sense, it signifies the cohabitation of a man and a woman
in the way of marriage, without having passed the ceremony thereof.
